Born Again Children Singing Worship Songs
I love music. While no one wants to hear me sing – a good rockin' worship melody is one of my favorite parts of Sunday Schoolhouse. Merely if you are anything like me, you know information technology can exist difficult to find great Sunday School songs.
Particularly when you desire to go beyond the 'usual' songs you ever sing. Even the almost amazing tune, after it has had its fourth dimension in the spotlight, merely begins to feel sometime.
So I've put together a list of songs that are a rocking good fourth dimension and accept the message of Jesus at the eye of them.
For this list I did have one additional requirement for the songs…they had to be fun to sing. There is certainly a place for the slower more than reflective songs in worship, simply for this particular listing I am only interested in the upbeat ones!
Lastly, to make the list I wanted songs that SOUND like songs kids listen to today. The songs demand to still present the same Gospel truth, but in a more modern-sounding way .

1. I Have Decided to Follow Jesus
I still love the old classics we used to sing in church. Just when I observe a team of people that take put a modern twist on old Sunday Schoolhouse songs to make them sound new and fresh once more, I get then excited!!!
So accept a moment to listen to this:
Lyrics:
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning dorsum, no turning dorsum.
(2x)
He gives me promise for each new solar day
I'm gonna follow Jesus
He lights my path all along the way
I'g gonna follow Jesus
I will go wherever He leads
I'm gonna follow Jesus
No turning back
2. Jesus Loves Me
Over again, here's another archetype song that sounds nothing like the original.
I was thrilled to observe this updated melody considering the message of this song is SO important. If kids believed that God truly and deeply loved them, it would change their lives forever. Nosotros so oftentimes think God loves us the manner we love others, with weather condition fastened. But our Heavenly Male parent loves us NO MATTER WHAT.
Ok, don't become me started!
Here'southward the rocking version of Jesus Loves Me: (the singing starts at virtually 0:21)
Lyrics:
Na-na-na-na na na-na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na-na
Na-na-na-na na na-na
Jesus loves me
This I know
For the Bible tells me so

3. My God Is Then Big (And then Strong and So Mighty)
Another classic, with another modern update. I think the starting time fourth dimension I used this song was for a lesson about Elijah challenging the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. After nosotros talked about Elijah's soaking wet altar and God raining down burn down from heaven nosotros sang this song as a class together a couple times.
I'll never forget that Wednesday night! Check it out:
Lyrics:
My God is so big
And so strong
And so mighty
There's zero my God cannot practice
(4x)
In the get-go
God made everything
God simply spoke
And the earth came to being
He sent a flood
And made everything new
He parted the sea
And let His people walk through
He helped a boy
To bring a behemothic right downward
Joshua marched
The walls savage to the ground
These acts of power
Are worthy of praise
Only if you want to question
My God and His means
(I'll look you in the eye and say:)

4. This Little Light of Mine
The original version of this song is then….precious. If you teach preschoolers or little kids in some class or fashion I suppose the sing-songy original is slap-up nether those circumstances.
But otherwise…go a concur of THIS version:
Lyrics:
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm gonna let information technology shine
This footling low-cal of mine
I'm gonna permit it shine, let it smooth, let it polish, allow information technology shine
Everywhere I go I'm gonna let it polish
Everywhere I go I'thou gonna permit it shine
Everywhere I go I'm gonna let it smooth, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
Fifty-fifty when I'thousand afraid I'one thousand gonna allow polish
Even when I'k agape I'm gonna let smooth
Fifty-fifty when I'1000 afraid I'one thousand gonna permit shine, allow it shine, let it shine, let it shine
This lilliputian lite of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little lite of mine
I'm gonna let it shine
This little lite of mine
I'm gonna let it polish, allow information technology shine, allow it polish, let it shine (x3)
5. I've Got Peace Similar a River
This song barely qualifies for the list. You'll recognize the melody instantly and information technology sounds fairly like to the song we grew up with every bit kids. The difference for me is the melody sounds more than modern, the end of the song sounds better to me, and if I'k honest…I recall the lyric video is cool.
Lyrics:
Motions:
Lyrics:
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
In my soul
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
In my soul
I've got love like an ocean
I've got love like an ocean
I've got beloved like an ocean
In my soul
I've got honey like an sea
I've got honey like an ocean

I've got peace, dearest and joy like a river
I've got peace, honey and joy like a river

I've got peace, love and joy like a river
In my soul
vi. I Sing the Mighty Power of God
Sometimes I play Lifetree Kids songs when I'grand by myself in the car. This is one of them.
This is a great worship tune that they made just a little more fun than I remembered it being:
Lyrics:
There's no greater ability than the power of our God (x2)
I sing the mighty pow'r of God that made the mountains rise
That spread the flowing seas away and built the lofty skies
I sing the wisdom that designed the dominicus to rule the day
The moon shines total at his command
And all the stars obey
There's no greater ability than the power of our God (x2)

7. The Fruit of the Spirit'due south Not a Kokosnoot
Alright, confession time.
I accept listened to this (semi-ridiculous) song WAY besides much in the car by myself. It'southward catchy, it's fun, and it's pretty stinkin' educational also.
(It volition probably get stuck in your caput if you heed to this…fair warning)
This Lord's day School song is a fun way to instill the fruit of the Spirit into a kid'southward encephalon.
Plus…today my v-twelvemonth old was with my married woman in the grocery store when he spots some coconuts.
He immediately says, "Cease Mom!" And then he walks over to the kokosnoot, taps information technology, and says, "The fruit of the spirit's not a coconut."
That's a HUGE win in my book, and just ane more reason I love this vocal:
Lyrics:
The Fruit of the Spirit's not a coconut
The Fruit of the Spirit's non a coconut
If y'all want to be a coconut
You might besides hear it:
You can't exist a fruit of the Spirit
Crusade the fruit is
Dear, joy, peace, patience,
Kindness, goodness, faithfulness
Gentleness and self-control
Dearest, joy, peace, patience,
Kindness, goodness, faithfulness
Gentleness and cocky-control
Ohhhh!

8. Permit's Get a Piddling Crazy
This tune is 1 of those fun 'opener' type of Dominicus School songs. Information technology doesn't have a ton of Scripture in it, merely it'south a keen way to get kids singing and moving, while reinforcing the thought that nosotros are hither to spread God'south dearest to anybody.
Likewise, LifeTree Kids filmed this at what appears to be a fair or something….then, that's fun!!
Lyrics:
C'mon, clap your hands!
Here nosotros go!
That's it!
We're all in this together and nosotros're having fun
Nosotros're here to spread the love of God to anybody
Gonna get a little crazy and a little wild
here we go now, come give it a endeavor!
Move it to the left now
Move information technology to the right
Find someone you don't know
Give them a hello-5
Stomp your anxiety louder (yeah, you guys are doin' awesome!)
Moving ridge your easily upwards higher (c'mon!)

9. Nothing Is Incommunicable
This is a super-duper fantastic song about having faith in God. It talks near living life not past what nosotros tin can run across or what we feel, just past knowing the One who is with the states and has our all-time involvement in mind.
We have sung this one quite a bit at my church, so it's really familiar to me. Merely I bet for many of y'all this is a fun new song. Add it to your repertoire to get your kids moving and singing near religion in our Savior!
Lyrics:
Through You
I tin can exercise annihilation
I can practise all things
Cause it's You who requite me strength
Nothing is impossible
Through You
Blind eyes are opened
Strongholds are broken
I am living by religion
Nothing is impossible!

I'm not gonna alive past what I feel
Deep downward I
Know that You're here with me
I know that, You can do anything

10. Wake
Whoever created the expect for this lyric/movement video did a squeamish job. I like the black and white handling of the people doing the motions.
I really can't think of a lot to say almost this vocal, so instead of me typing a bunch of nonsense that most you won't read anyway, let me just put the video here for you to watch:
Lyrics:
At break of day, in hope we ascent
We speak Your Name, nosotros lift our eyes
Melody our hearts into Your beat
Where we walk, there You'll exist
With burn in our eyes, our lives a-light
Your dear untamed, information technology'south blazing out
The streets will glow forever vivid
Your glory'southward breaking through the night
You will never fade away, Your love is here to stay
By my side, in my life, shining through me everyday
You will never fade away, Your dearest is here to stay
By my side, in my life, shining through me everyday
Y'all wake within me, wake within me

Consummate Lyrics: https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/hillsongyoungfree/wake.html

We lift yous higher

12. Brighter
This song is almost the low-cal and the dear of Jesus. Listening to it as I type this in the middle of fall, it seems similar a great vocal to go along with a Christmas bulletin near Jesus being the light of the world, or the wise men following the lite, etc…
Hillsong Kids is another publisher I dear that really does some great stuff for kids. Many of you lot are probably super familiar with Hillsong Kids, but mayhap some of of y'all have never heard a song of theirs called "Brighter":
Lyrics:
You smoothen brighter
Than any star in the sky
Your light shining
Through the night of the night
Jesus forever
I detect all that I am
In Your dearest, love, love
Yous are with me
In every step that I take
Your love for me
You have chosen me by name
Jesus forever

thirteen. Alive
We've pretty much worn this song out at my church. Although I still couldn't practise the motions if my life depended on information technology, I do know the words really well. 🙂
The chorus of this song is magical: "You are alive in us…Your honey has set us free!"
I want nothing more than than for a grouping of kids to have tons of fun singing a vocal well-nigh how Christ is alive in His children and that His love is what sets usa free from the chains of sin.
Beloved it!!!
Lyrics:
I was lost with a broken center
You picked me up, now I'chiliad set apart
From the ash I am born again
Forever safe in the Savior'south easily
You are more than than my words could say
I'll follow You Lord for all my days
I'll fix my eyes, follow in Your ways
Forever gratuitous in unending grace
'Cause You lot are, You are, You are my freedom

14. Give it Abroad
Have you ever loved a gift so much that yous wanted to tell all your friends about it? Kids Love to talk well-nigh their new toys…but information technology's time to get them talking nearly sharing the greatest gift of all– God'southward love!
This vocal will do the trick. Non only is it upbeat and fun, but information technology encourages kids to share God's discussion with others! You won't find too many upbeat Sunday School songs that talk nearly witnessing, so I would say this one is a rare find.
Cheque it out!
Lyrics:
I'yard feeling good skillful good in a crazy way
God's love changed me more than I can say

fifteen. Liberty
I tin't get enough of songs that take their lyrics straight from scripture. This song by Bethel Music really makes 2 Corinthians 3:17 hit home in a fun, meaningful fashion:
"At present the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (NIV)
I too love the fact that it's catchy, all the same has lyrics that are deeper than the rain puddle of depth we get from a lot of other kids Sunday Schoolhouse songs.
Information technology might even make your students forget everything that's bothering them, and experience truly "free" to simply get upward and praise God!
Lyrics:
You came to set the captives gratuitous
Yous came to bring united states liberty
My sin and my rejection met
Your blood and my acceptance
Now I'thou alive to bring You praise
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, at that place is liberty
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, in that location is liberty
Every chain is broken through You, Jesus
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, in that location is freedom
Whoa oh, oh, oh
Your blood has covered every sin
Your grace empowers me to win
My pain and my oppression met
Your blood and my acceptance
Now I'm live to bring You lot praise
I'm free I'm gratuitous, I'm complimentary to dance and sing
I'one thousand free, I'1000 free, I'm free to shout it out

16. There is Power in the Blood
Back to those good ol' hymns over again. They're good for a reason– they're brimming with sound doctrine, and are completely focused on God and His works.
This 1 is an awesome upbeat twist on a hymn (with mitt motions!) that your kids probably already know by center…or at to the lowest degree you practise.
Lyrics:
In that location's power, there'southward power
There'southward wonder workin' power
In that location is power, power, wonder-working power
In the claret of the Lamb
There is power, ability, wonder-working ability
In the precious blood of the Lamb
Would you lot exercise service for Jesus your Rex?
At that place'south ability in the blood, ability in the blood
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There's wonderful ability in the claret
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the claret of the Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious claret of the Lamb
(repeat from the outset)
17. No, Not One
Ok…while we're on the subject of hymns… here's another one for 'ya (pitiful, couldn't resist!)
Here's an incredible country-rock-ish version of a song that reminds the states that there'south NO Ane like Jesus!
Oh
There's not a friend similar the lowly Jesus.
No, not one! No, not one!
No one else could heal all our soul's diseases.
No, not 1! No, not one!
Jesus knows all well-nigh our struggles.
He will guide united states till the day is done.
There'southward not a friend like the lowly Jesus.
No, not one! No, non one!
Hey! Oh
There'due south not an hour that he is not almost us.
No, non one! No, not ane!
No night is so night but his dearest can cheer usa.
No, not one! No, not ane!
(sing chorus 2 times)
No, not one! No, not i!
Hey! Oh
eighteen. Ask, Seek, Knock
Here'south a clever tune near prayer— a subject that is pretty much ignored in the average teacher's repertoire of Sunday School songs.
I love this tricky melody considering it'south all about reading the Bible and talking with God– those things aren't simply for adults, ya know!
Here's an awesome video that you tin employ in Sunday Schoolhouse:
Lyrics:
I'm reading my B-I-B-L-East
And this is what it says to me
It tells me that I'1000 never ever alone
I'm learning how J-East-Southward-U-Due south
Came downwardly to usa and gave His all-time
Without a doubt the all-time friend you'll ever know
Pre-Chorus: Our God knows exactly what I need
So I remember this
Chorus: When you ask He cares

When you knock knock knock knock knock
God opens up the door

The motions below are groovy fifty-fifty for little kids, or you tin can use this link for a lyric video.
Lyrics:
I say Pharaoh, Pharaoh
Oh baby let my people go!
Huh! Yep, yep, yeah

Well, the burning bush told me only the other day

And pb them on over to the Promised Country

Goose egg volition ever change that
Nothing will ever change that
Nil volition ever change that
21. Fabricated For This
No doubt, I'm hooked on LifeTree kids music…and you and your kids will exist as well in one case y'all hear this song.
I love the subject field thing of this song, since information technology answers some of import questions that EVERY child has: Why am I here on earth? What's my purpose?
The answer is that God has made each of us for a reason. Forget all those so-called "cocky-esteem" building exercises– kids need to find their purpose in God. This song does an incredible task at reminding them of that, in a super-mod, hyped-upwards way:
Lyrics:
I was made for this
I live for this
God has a reason
Reason for my life
I'chiliad gonna shout it out

22. Let's Praise the Lord
Here's a current twist on the king of old Sunday School songs: "Hallelujah".
You know… the 1 where the teacher fabricated you stand up and sit down down repeatedly? Concluding time I sang it, my knees sounded like popcorn in a microwave.
But don't worry…this version is a LOT more than fun to sing, so much so that you'll probably forget all about your creaky knees and join right in with the kids!
Lyrics:
Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah
Let'southward praise the Lord
Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah

And do not exist afraid
24. When I Look
I honey the simple but powerful lyrics in this song– it'southward perfect for piffling kids who have the wiggles! But that doesn't hateful you can't use it with the older ones too.
This is one of those Lord's day School songs that has easy-to-remember actions that go perfectly with the lyrics (i.east. upward, down, etc).
So if yous're i those coordination-challenged people (similar me!) this is one choreographed worship tune that won't brand you feel similar newborn Bambi…
Lyrics:
God fabricated me, He made everything
God loves me, He can do anything
If I run over here, if I run over there
God is everywhere, and He loves me
When I look upwards, upwardly, upwards

Ok…so the title promised 25, but who doesn't honey extra credit? Here's a couple more!
26. Light of the Earth
